Insurance companies frequently require prior approval before their members can receive certain medical services. This authorization process – also known as prior approval, pre-certification, pre-cert, pre-notification and notification can be administered by the insurer or a third party radiology benefit management company like MedSolutions. It is important to know that authorization companies frequently steer care to low-cost imaging providers and do not take quality into consideration. Payment options & financial assistance

Wake Radiology recognizes that some patients do not have insurance and/or require financial assistance. We offer payment plans to ease their cash flow burden or prompt payment discounts to lower their out-of-pocket costs.

  • Payment Plans: All patients are eligible for our interest-free extended payment program. Monthly schedules and automatic account drafts can be set up to help manage payments.
  • Prompt Pay Discounts: Patients who do not have insurance or have an out-of-network plan are eligible for prompt payment discounts if they pay in full at the time-of-service or soon after receiving their first statement.
