Wake Radiology Data Center

WR_Data_CleanRoom_small-150x150The Wake Radiology data center in Raleigh is a Tier 2+ facility that allows us to leverage technology to the fullest. Our emphasis on redundancy includes servers, power, HVAC and networking so mission-critical systems are available 99.99% of the time. Plus, we have a backup data center ready to go. Everything is monitored 7x24x365 so we can proactively address any potential issues.

Our advanced imaging technologies generate electronic images that are sent to a central store in our data center. These images are available for interpretation wherever our subspecialized radiologists are located. Images are also archived in three separate data centers for safe keeping and are available online whenever needed. Security, privacy and confidentiality are forefront in our minds and we have developed policies and measures to enforce them. Wake Radiology has space available in the data center that would be ideal to house another physician practice’s primary or backup equipment. We invite you to email or call our help desk at 919-788-7885 if you would like to learn more about our data center and its capabilities.

Meaningful Use – Stage II

Wake Radiology stands ready to work with any physician practice to implement HL7 electronic interfaces to their electronic health record (EHR) system for report distribution (with image links) and order entry. These interfaces will partially satisfy Measure 1 – to place at least 30% of radiology orders via a CPOE system and Measure 3 of the menu set – to accept at least 10% of radiology results (with image links) into the EHR. If you are interested in pursuing this capability, please email Matt Dewey, Chief Information Officer, or call 919-232-4748.
