We take the time to “custom build” each radiology appointment. This helps ensure the right test is given to the right patient at the right time for the right medical reasons.

Wake Radiology UNC REX participates in the InfinaConnect platform and is listed in the full directory. Orders can be directly received into our scheduling system.
Wake Radiology UNC REX established an interface with Athena Health that allows us to both receive radiology orders and share results from practices connected with this platform.
Wake Radiology UNC REX has an established interface with UNC Rex Healthcare. This connection creates a seamless workflow when providers select “REX” as the imaging resource.
Wake Radiology UNC REX has an established connection with PH Exchange. Orders using this platform can be received directly into our scheduling system.
Appointment Availability
Screening Mammography
Evenings, Saturday and same-day appointments are available. Walk-ins are welcome at some locations.
MRI Services
Early morning, late evening and weekend appointments are available.
Additionally, schedulers are available during the weekend to make appointments for the following week.
Routine Diagnostic X-rays
Walk-in x-rays are performed with minimal wait times for patients who have a signed physician referral.
Requests for late-day add-ons can frequently be accommodated.

The ACR Appropriateness Criteria (AC) are evidence-based guidelines to assist referring physicians and other providers in making the most appropriate imaging or treatment decision for a specific clinical condition.
